La Paz University Hospital and Roche launch REVITA pilot project, a telemedicine service for people with hemophilia A

An initiative that arose in the context of the pandemic, identifying ways to improve the monitoring of joint health without increasing hospital visits in these people, through remote ultrasound scans. It is an integrated technological solution, aimed at hospitalization and home care, which allows the application of personalized action protocols for each patient. REVITA aims to validate the telemedicine service for people with hemophilia A in prophylaxis and extend it to other centers; integrate the hematology team and train patients. People with hemophilia suffer bleeding disorders, especially in joints such as knees, ankles and elbows, being the main cause of morbidity and generating a great impact on their quality of life. Mention to REVITA in the radio program “Historias que piden más”.

THANKS TO REVITA, TELEMEDICINE REACHES THE HEMOPHILIAC PATIENT AND AVOIDS THEIR DEPENDENCE ON THE HOSPITAL. World hemophilia day is approaching, and for this reason the radio program “Stories that demand more” has been broadcast, presented by Juanma Castaño, from the offices of ROCHE and with the collaboration of: Víctor Jiménez Yuste (Head of the serv of hematology in La Paz), Federico Plaza (director of corporate affairs at ROCHE), Daniel Aníbal (president of fedhemo), Hortensia de la Corte (rehabilitator at the hemophilia unit in La Paz), Sonia Herrero (hematologist at the hospital in Guadalajara and president of the Castilian-La Mancha hematology soc) members of associations of patients and people with hemophilia. Thank you very much for enabling REVITA to bring telemedicine to hemophiliac patients and avoid their dependence on the hospital.
